Joshua is the sixth book of the Bible and has not traditionally been included in the Mosaic Law, the Pentateuch or the Torah. Investigations into the structure of Hebrew writing, however, have successfully shown Joshua to be part of the Hexateuch. In order, it makes up the end of the Historical Conclusion section of the Book of the Law and is split in half by the two sections Conquest of Canaan under Joshua (1-12) and Allotment of Canaan (13-24).
